Children are our future. What happens to children in their first days, months and years of life affects their development, the development of our society, and the development of our world. The principle of investing in children is to invest in our common future:
The world of tomorrow will inherit the children of today. Whether nations grow and prosper will depend heavily on the survival, health, education and protection of their citizens, particularly the youngest. Child poverty is a multidimensional phenomenon and can be measured in many ways. It is imperative that NGOs make a commitment to child poverty reduction, recognizing and responding to child poverty as its first priority.
The subject of empowerment of women has becoming a burning issue all over the world including India since last few decades. Many agencies of United Nations in their reports have emphasized that gender issue is to be given utmost priority. It is held that women now cannot be asked to wait for any more for equality.
A long struggle going back over a century has brought women the property rights, voting rights, an equality in civil rights before the law in matters of marriage and employment In addition to the above rights, in India, the customs of purdha (veil system), female infanticide, child marriage, sati system (self-immolation by the women with their husbands), dowry system and the state of permanent widowhood were either totally removed or checked to an appreciable extent after independence through legislative measures. However there is lot to do to empower our women in the areas of health, literacy, job opportunities and skill development.

OLD AGE CARE
You can transform generations by supporting the oldest. When we support an older person, it has a major impact on reducing poverty and increasing access to education and healthcare for the younger family members who depend on them. We ensure that older people are included in international development and have access to emergency relief, income security, health services and basic human rights.
Parijatham Foundation will ensure it caters to the need of the old age people by providing them with shelter, food, clothes and health care.
Animal welfare refers to the relationships people have with animals and the duty they have to assure that the animals under their care are treated humanely and responsibly. Animals can be taken care by giving them our attention, love, food and shelter.
There are numerous animal shelters functioning in the state and we can support them by sponsoring food and medicines which are needed in large quantities to take care of the animals sheltered there.
Large segments of India’s urban slum and rural tribal populations do not have access to safe and reliable healthcare. Parijatham Foundation aims to bring medical assistance to these under-resourced populations through ongoing medical camps.
Our prime aim is to reach the unreached through our hospital partners to support tribal villages. By bringing healthcare to their doorstep, Parijatham Foundation ensures that the greatest number of patients is served without hindering daily livelihood.
The medical teams treat primary health conditions and dispense free medicines to care for both acute and chronic disease. When additional assistance is needed, patients are given referrals to the appropriate government, private or public hospitals that provide free or subsidized services and provisions are made for proper follow up and case management.
Programs on Health Care:
A pint of donated blood can save up to three lives. Donating blood is not only important but also works as life saver drug for the patient. Human Blood can’t be replaced by artificial blood.
We organize blood donation camps in various cities with various government blood banks. We believe that organizing camps is the fastest way to solving the problem of blood shortage.
Literacy is the ability to read, view, write, design, speak and listen in a way that allows you to communicate effectively. The power of literacy lies not just in the ability to read and write, but rather in a person’s capacity to apply these skills to effectively connect, interpret and discern the intricacies of the world in which they live.
In India, a literate population is required to build a nation with strong social, economic and political foundations. Literacy is an important starting point that brings awareness in people to work towards a better living. It helps them to break free of shackles of ignorance, avoid getting manipulated, and being left out of the mainstream.

Environmental protection is a practice of protecting the natural environment on individual, organizational or governmental levels, for the benefit of both the natural environment and humans. Due to the pressures of population and technology, the biophysical environment is being degraded, sometimes permanently. This has been recognized, and governments have begun placing restraints on activities that cause environmental degradation.
The Earth systems are under threat. Global warming, freshwater depletion, biodiversity reduction, hole in the ozone layer - are all examples of such threats. One has to ask oneself what can be done to stop this development. How serious is it really? And what is it actually possible to do to change the direction?
‘Pasumai Seivom’ is an initiative of Parijatham Foundation to protect our Mother Earth by planting Tree saplings, nurturing it and also creating awareness amongst the public on the methods of protecting our environment also encouraging and promoting organic farming and alternate sources of energy.
